From Keyframes to Crypto: My Journey as a 3D Animator in Web3

Introduction

I didn’t plan to fall down the rabbit hole...

I was just a 3D animator looking for new ways to share my work. You know, something beyond the usual scroll-and-forget socials. I wanted permanence. Ownership. A place where creativity wasn’t just consumed, but valued.

That’s when I stumbled into Web3.

It started with curiosity. I minted a test NFT of a looping animation — nothing fancy, just a simple thing to start. Within hours, I got feedback from strangers who felt like friends. Not bots. Not clout-chasers. Real people who cared about art, ethics, and building something better.

So I joined a few Discords. Then a few more. Suddenly I was in deep conversations about decentralization, creator royalties, and digital identity. These weren’t just tech bros flexing jargon. These were artists, devs, and dreamers trying to do the right thing.

Connection > Clout

In Web3, I found a tribe.

People who wake up thinking about how to improve themselves every day. Folks who drop alpha and affirmations in the same thread. Who build tools and communities with the same energy they bring to memes.

We’re not perfect. But we’re trying. Every day.

What’s Next

I’m animating for DAOs. Collaborating on token-gated galleries. Helping onboard other creatives who feel stuck in Web2. And I’m documenting it all because this space moves fast, and stories matter.

If you’re a creator, a builder, or just someone who wants to be better every day… Web3 has a place for you.
